Credence Capital Corporation
About Credence

An independent partner for capital decisions in the Maldives.

Credence Capital Corporation brings investment advisory, brokerage and stock trading, and capital raising under one roof — practised with the discipline of a capital-markets firm and a genuine understanding of the industries that move the Maldivian economy.

Our purpose

Why Credence exists.

The Maldives is a small, fast-developing market with real ambition and real capital needs. Businesses building here — vessel operators, fisheries, resort developers — deserve advice and market access of the same standard available in deeper financial centres, delivered by people who understand the local context.

We founded Credence to provide exactly that: independent, research-led guidance and reliable execution, without the conflicts that come from selling in-house product. Whether a client is investing surplus capital, trading listed securities, or raising equity and debt to grow, our role is to bring clarity, rigour, and a steady hand to the decision.

Our focus is deliberately narrow. We concentrate on the Maldivian market and on the three industries that define it — marine, fishing, and resort development — because depth in a few things we understand well serves clients better than breadth across things we do not.

Mission & Vision

What we are working toward.

Our purpose is steady, and it points somewhere specific — a commitment we hold today, and the future we are building for the Maldivian market.

Our mission

To give Maldivian businesses and investors independent, research-led access to capital markets — advice and execution of international standard, delivered with local understanding and free of conflict.

Our vision

To be the most trusted capital-markets partner in the Maldives — the firm that families, founders, and institutions turn to when a decision about capital truly matters.

Our approach

How we are different.

A considered, conflict-aware way of working that puts the client's decision — not a transaction — at the centre.

  • We start with the question, not the product.

Engagements begin with your objectives, constraints, and risk tolerance. The solution — advice, execution, or a capital raise — follows from that, never the other way around.

  • We understand the industries we finance.

Capital decisions in the Maldives are decisions about specific industries. Real knowledge of marine, fishing, and resort development lets us weigh opportunity and risk on their own terms.

  • We keep our incentives clear.

Independence is only meaningful when it is structural. We are transparent about how we are compensated and about any interest that could bear on our advice.

  • We hold ourselves to a regulated standard.

Licensed by the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) and a member of the Maldives Stock Exchange (MSE), we work within a defined framework of conduct, disclosure, and client protection.
